I was first introduced to CrossFit when I was in college at TCNJ and decided to join the CrossFit club on campus. Despite being an athlete my whole life, I had never worked out like that before and I absolutely loved it. Not only did I feel confident and strong, but I was also having so much fun moving my body in a different way! I continued to seek out CrossFit after I started graduate school and I was looking to meet new people locally. CrossFit has given me sense of belongingness and makes me feel like a part of a team again. It is this camaraderie that helps to keep me accountable through all seasons of life.

Going to Bison is one of the highlights of my day and I always seem to leave feeling happier than when I arrived. So much of this starts with the tone the coach sets at the beginning of class and the experience they create for the athletes. I coach so that I can help others have the best hour of their day. I also love to teach athletes how to utilize proper movement patterns so that they can not only perform better in the gym but also function better throughout their life.

MY FAVORITE BISON MEMORY

My first Open party/Friday night lights with CrossFit Bison is one I will always remember, not only because the workout crushed me (23.1) but because the energy in the gym that night was unmatched. Music bumping from the live DJ, everyone sporting their team colors, and people I had never even met cheering me on. Everything about that night epitomized what I love about CrossFit and about Crossfit Bison in particular; love for the sport and love for the community.
