My first time walking through Bison’s doors was in 2018 when my then girlfriend, Kayla, wanted to introduce me to CrossFit.  I immediately noticed some of the parallels to a college baseball team weight room that I was used to; the competitiveness, camaraderie, leadership of the coach, and the way everyone supported and cheered for one another.  This environment/community feel is what I had been missing after my baseball career ended and I was so lucky to have found just that at Bison.

There is truly nothing like seeing someone’s reaction when they did something they thought they’d never be able to, lift the weight they’ve always wanted to, finish a hard workout, or reach whatever their goal is.  Being able to help this community of incredible people create those moments is something I am so grateful for and am so lucky to be able to do.

MY FAVORITE BISON MEMORY

The Bison Bowl of any year is always my favorite.  Seeing the entire gym pulling for one another all together at the same time doesn’t happen often during the year.  It’s always something I look forward to year after year.

MY FAVORITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT

Anything that doesn’t involve weights.

WHEN DO I NORMALLY WORKOUT AND COACH?

I like working out at 5am and sometimes in the evenings to see some new faces!  I coach on Fridays 5,6,7am.

· SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW

I have Spotify set up to notify me every time a new HerdFit Podcast episode comes out on Monday mornings.

QUOTE TO LIVE BY:

Not quotes, but my two favorite phrases are:

“Facta Non Verba”- latin for “Your deeds, not your words”

and

“Game Knows” – a saying my college team came up with which basically means if you give everything you can, do the right things, and work hard, the “game” (i.e. life, Crossfit, baseball, etc.) knows and will repay you in certain ways.
