I found Crossfit in 2014 as a freshman in college, which changed the way I looked at fitness as a young woman. At the time I played volleyball for Rockland Community College, and my coach suggested I try out a class at his friend's new gym “CrossFit Bison”. I pulled up to the warehouse, tried my first workout (Open wod 14.5 thrusters and burpees!) and never looked back. The Bison community quickly became my home and has been a constant ever since.

Crossfit pushed me to be a better person. It gave me the confidence to embrace discomfort, not just in fitness, but in all areas of my life. It unlocked a new found love to appreciate my body not just for what it looked like, but what it was capable of doing. I loved this feeling so much that it influenced me to choose a career path to help others experience the same sense of empowerment.

I coach Crossfit because I believe everyone deserves a shot at feeling their best in a community that supports you 100%. That’s the essence of CrossFit. At the end of the day, we’re all just humans trying to improve, and if I can play a role in helping someone achieve that, it’s more than enough to keep me coming back.

MY FAVORITE BISON MEMORY

Besides the open announcement & Friday night lights, Murph! A day where it feels like we are doing something hard together for something bigger than ourselves.

MY FAVORITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT

Toes to bar & power cleans

MY LEAST FAVORITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT

Wall facing handstand push ups

SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME:
