During my college football career I was constantly training to improve as a player. I would work hard to get stronger and faster. Once I graduated I continued to exercise. Soon, my workouts would become monotonous. I struggled to find a mode of training that I enjoyed. I was in a fitness rut and very little progress was made.
One afternoon I was flipping though the channels and stumbled across the “CrossFitGames” on ESPN. I was immediately interested. Soon after my wife Nicole and I joined a local CrossFit gym. The intensity, variety and competitive nature of the workouts was exactly what I needed.
Becoming a coach was one of the best decisions that I have made. I love helping others reach their fitness goals in a safe, and encouraging environment. I feel very lucky and blessed to have the opportunity to coach at Bison, a gym that embodies the spirit of CrossFit.
